“Close your eyes.”

Helena smiled slightly and did as she was told, a bemused, half smile on her lips as she was turned by a strong hand. A silk tie wrapped over he eyes and was tied in a knot at the back of her head, lightly but not so loose it would slip. She frowned as the elevator dinged when it opened and she was pushed gently forwards. 

“Where are we?”

There was a breeze — why was there a breeze?

“Sebastian?”

“I’ve got you, darling.”

She raised her arms and he took her wrists, pinning them not ungently to her side as she took a few more steps forward. 

“Not yet.”

“This isn’t funny.”

“I’m not laughing.” His voice was against her ear and she couldn’t help but step forward when his hand pushed against the small of her back. She took a few more steps forwards before he whispered ‘stop’ in her ear and slid off the blindfold. 

“Oh, god.”

“I thought you’d like it.”

She gripped his arm tightly as he smirked and looked over Los Angeles from the top of the swank hotel they were staying in. Her feet were literal centimeters from the edge and she clenched her hand tight enough to cut off the circulation in his fingers.

“That’s where you performed.”

“Yes, I see it.” She said shortly, her heart racing. Her pumps were centimeters away from absolute nothing and as the dry breeze started again she resisted the urge to take a step back when Sebastian looked so smug. 

“Can we go?”

“One minute.”

She stood there, taking in the city as Sebastian calmly checked his watch. A crack rent the air and she gasped, turned around and saw fireworks lighting up the sky. Sebastian sighed and turned to watch them, sliding both hands into his pockets.

“Nobody’s perfect, I suppose.”
