this is sebastian moran. he’s a thirty six year old ex-colonel, and is currently employed by none other than jim moriarty. he grew up around the world, but mostly in india, where he became a poacher in his late teens. he was twenty three when he was asked to kill a man eating tiger and received his most gruesome scars due to shoddy medical attention in rural india. these include a mark across his left eyebrow that makes half his brow at a totally different angle than the other half, a still slightly red scar along his jawbone from his ear nearly to his chin and a long, ropy scar across the left of his skull; he uses his hair style to cover up the line. the largest of the other scars include a large burn on his right side from a piece of shrapnel, a bullet wound in his leg and a long knife wound almost from shoulder to shoulder on his back.
seb is disinterested in his family, all of whom are still alive. his only real connection with any of them was when he received an urgent message while he was in between tours from his sister that his fathers condition was deteriorating rapidly. visiting his father, the man didn’t even recognize him and instead asked the orderly when he was to expect jasper, sebastians younger brother. he has not spoken to his family in just about ten years.
he has a utilitarian style, is icily sarcastic and completely unconcerned with what you have to say about it. he doesn’t really give a shit about anything, the only thing he cares about is making sure that his boss is happy. jim moriarty is a dangerous man, possibly the most dangerous, and what else is there after working for someone like him?
he is a man precisely where he wants to be in life. quite simply, sebastian moran is, and remains, in grave danger.
